Material library

A quieter palette.

The materials we return to again and again — chosen for low carbon, long life and the way they feel to live with.

Lime

Breathable render and plaster that regulates humidity and can be repaired for centuries.

Cork

Harvested without felling trees; insulates, absorbs sound and stores carbon.

Rammed earth

Site soil compacted into thick walls with exceptional thermal mass.

Reclaimed timber

Floors and joinery with a history — and none of the carbon of new wood.

Local stone

Quarried nearby, laid dry where possible, and fully reusable at end of life.

How are your fees structured?

After a free first conversation, we agree a fixed fee for each stage — concept, planning, technical design and construction — so you always know what the next step will cost.

Where do you work?

Mostly in Portugal, the UAE and Scandinavia, with selected projects elsewhere in Europe and the Middle East when the brief is the right fit.

How long does a typical project take?

A private home usually takes 18–30 months from first sketch to move-in, including around 6–9 months for design and approvals.

Can you work with our existing architect or contractor?

Yes. We often join projects for interiors or sustainability strategy alongside an existing team, and are happy to work with a contractor you already trust.
